Occupational Therapist

Job Description:

 School District in Santa Teresa, New Mexico is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their team. This is a full-time, in-person position for the remainder of the current school year.

School district is located in the far southeastern corner of New Mexico, just 12 miles from the Texas border and El Paso. The district operates 24 educational facilities and serves over 14,000 students from pre-kindergarten through high school.

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to students with a wide range of needs, including physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide consultation to staff
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
• Float between multiple campuses within the district

Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of New Mexico
• Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) skills are preferred but not required
