Independent School District is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their team in the North Austin area. This is a part-time, in-person position that will run from January 3, 2024 through the end of May 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct occupational therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
- Document all therapy sessions and maintain accurate records
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide training and support to teachers and staff on strategies to support students’ occupational therapy needs
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Texas
- Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in a school-based environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficient in using technology, including electronic documentation systems
