Job Description: 
School Psych needed for Gallup Mckinley County Schools in Gallup, NM 
* Located in Northwest NM near the border of AZ
* estimated case load for LSSP/DIAG around 80 
* they have records clerks tha thelp with parent forms and meetings etc 
* most float between schools – they try to honor grade level requests as best as they can but everyone typically floats to a few campus "in and out of town" since its a large district
* Bilingual folks a HUGE plus – they had to contract specific cases this year at a high cost out of desperation 
The preferred qualifications include:
  • A strong understanding of the New Mexico TEAMS Manual, New Mexico eligibility criteria, IDEA requirements, and comprehensive evaluation practices.
  • The ability to write high-quality evaluation reports, effectively communicate assessment results to families and IEP teams, and consistently meet evaluation timelines.
  • Experience conducting culturally responsive evaluations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with technology, including Synergy, Microsoft Teams, and other platforms used for documentation, virtual meetings, and collaboration.
  • The ability to effectively conduct evaluations and participate in both in-person and virtual meetings.

Qualifications:
  1. Degree in current specialty field of work from an accredited university
  2. Current and valid state licensure to practice or current state certificate in field of work required for the position
  3. One year of experience preferred in role however, a new graduate with fieldwork in a school setting may be considered
  4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
